Monin Spicy Chocolate Syrup
Chocolate is made with the pods of the cacao tree, discovered two millennia ago in Central and South America. Mayan and Aztec populations mixed ground cacao seeds with various seasonings to make a spicy, frothy drink. After the European "discovery" of the Americas, Spanish conquistadors brought cocoa pods back to Spain; through subsequent centuries the drink’s popularity spread throughout Europe.
Monin Spicy Chocolate Syrup is our tribute to the ancient spiced chocolate beverage, featuring all the richness of dark chocolate with a spicy kick. A great accent for smoothies, shakes, iced/frozen specialty coffee beverages and more, imparting an exotic, cinnamon-pepper spiced chocolate taste.
Tasting Notes • Cinnamon spice and deep chocolate aroma. Rich dark chocolate and spicy pepper taste
Applications • Iced and frozen lattes, mochas and coffees, steamers, sodas, cream sodas, smoothies, and shakes |
