Monin Lemon Grass Syrup
Lemon grass (or lemongrass) is a common ingredient in Southeast Asian cooking but it is becoming more popular across cultures. It features an appealing citrus aroma but without a strong citrus acidity. The taste is refreshing and light, with herbal notes. The lemon grass herb is most often used in marinades, curries, stews, and seafood soups.
With its herbal and citrus profile, ready to pour Monin Lemon Grass easily adds a true exotic citrus touch to any beverages.
Tasting Notes • Natural aroma of lavender flower, very aromatic. Semi-sweet herbal and floral flavor
Applications • Lemonades, sodas, cocktails, teas, frozen beverages |

In 2006, a research team from the Ben Gurion University in Israel found that lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) caused apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells. Through in vitro studies, the researchers examined the effect of citral, a molecule found in lemon grass, on both normal and cancerous cells. Using concentrations of citral equivalent to the quantity in a cup of tea (one gram of lemon grass in hot water), the researchers observed that citral induces programmed cell death in the cancerous cells, while the normal cells were left unharmed. -Wikipedia |
