Monin White Peach Syrup
Peaches (prunus persica) are considered the most ancient fruit crop domesticated in China (since circa 2,000 BC). To this day, China produces about 44% of the world's peaches. Along with yellow fleshed peaches, interest in white-fleshed peaches and nectarines has risen in the last few years. One of the classic recipes made with white peaches is the Bellini cocktail, created in 1948 at Harry's Bar in Venice, Italy by Mr. Giuseppe Cipriani. Cipriani loved the mild sweet taste of white peaches and after his experimentation with pureed white peaches and prosecco (Italian Sparkling Wine), a new cocktail was born.
Sweet, non-acidic, orchard-fresh Monin White Peach is a great method to bring the taste of this traditional fruit to your favorite specialty beverages.
Tasting Notes • Sun ripened peach aroma, distinctive sweet-tart, very juicy flavor with a candied note

Peaches are known in China, Japan, Korea, Laos, and Vietnam, not only as a popular fruit, but also for the many folk tales and traditions associated with it. In China, the peach (Chinese: 桃; pinyin: táo) was said to be consumed by the immortals due to its mystic virtue of conferring longevity on all who ate them. The divinity Yu Huang, also called the Jade Emperor, and his mother Xi Wangmu, also known as Queen Mother of the West, ensured the gods' everlasting existence by feeding them the peaches of immortality. -Wikipedia |
